Introduction – Maslow’s hierarchy of needs

exhortation – giving – leadership – mercy – service.
other New Testament gifts
celibacy – hospitality – voluntary poverty – martyrdom.

“from [Jesus] the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.…” (Ephesians 4:15)
ii) If I don’t discover my gifts, I miss out and so does the church.

Hard truths come best from a friend.
“This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” (1John 4:10)
