Thursday lunchtime is gardening club time at Livingstone School. Working with small groups of year four children, we teach basic gardening skills – how plants and seeds grow, how they germinate, how to make compost, how to dig up weeds and about how to plant different types of plants.
The children particularly enjoy harvest time – when they get to see the fruit of their labours.
At various times in the year we do additional maintenance work on the garden.
