Weddings at St James’s

Jesus said, “But at the beginning…God ‘made them male and female.’ ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.” [Mark 10:6-9]

Christian marriage is one of God’s greatest gifts to people, and we want to do everything we can to make not only your wedding day, but also your marriage, very special.

If you want to be married at St James’s, the best way is to come along to one of our services and chat to the vicar. This will give us the chance to meet you, and will give you a chance to get a feel for the church.

After this initial chat you will meet the vicar several more times to sort out a date, plan the service, and to think through the implications of marriage. Depending on the timescales involved we may be able to offer you the chance to do our marriage preparation course,
