Jesus valued children and young people in a way that was revolutionary, and whilst we can’t claim to be the only church in the world that makes a fuss of children, we’re sure your children will have a fantastic experience of St James’. You may also find it reassuring to know that all of our children’s leaders are police-checked.

Sundays

During the 10:30am service on a Sunday we have Kids Church groups for all children.

For the very littlest children, we run a staffed creche where you can safely leave children and return to enjoy the rest of that morning’s activities.

Our other groups are organised by age (3-5, 6-10 and 11+). If you have any queries about the groups, please contact us.

For Teenagers

If you’re aged 14 to 18, and want to make new friends, have fun, and learn more about Jesus, then Ichthus is a great place to do it. It meets most Thursday evenings in a variety of locations. To find out more, get in touch.

For years 2 to 6

Tuesday is your night. For Boys we run Base Camp, and if you’re a girl, its Girlz Only. The groups meet fortnightly, starting at 5:30pm, finish 7:00pm. Tea is included. Make sure you come ready to learn, and to play.

Please note, the boys often go outside and may get wet or muddy doing “the jungle adventure.” So try not to come in school uniform! To book a place click here.

Drop-In Toddler Group

Our drop-in toddler groups take place in the church building, and are very well attended, and a great place to meet other parents and children. They’re open 10am-noon on Tuesday, and 1pm-2:30pm on Thursday. Please note that the Thursday group doesn’t meet during school holidays.

If you want to contact someone about the group you can reach them here.
